Labor Day Weekend

Buck and Misty came camping with us this year and it was a blast! Well... except the first night. That night is now forever known as 'the bad night'. Kaden decided to keep us all up, all night long. He was seriously screaming every. 30. minutes. And when there are four of you (plus a screaming baby) stuffed into a little 15 foot trailer, well... no one sleeps. Except Buck, he weenied out and finally went and slept in his truck! I guess I can't blame him seeing as the second night we crashed in Matt's parent's camper after they left. It's okay though, I still love Kaden and all his lung power. We really did have a lot of fun just hangin' out and relaxing. We got to hang out with Matt's family too, since they were up camping for the weekend. We stayed up Yellowpine (where Matt's parents have been camp hosts for years now). I love Yellowpine, it's so pretty with the river right there and all the trees. We took a drive up towards Arta, and collected firewood for a campfire that night. Misty and I even got all domestic and made a "banana cream pie" It was so special... ha ha.

In fact, this is it. We had no pie plate or crust. We had to smash up Nilla Wafers for a crust, the filling is banana pudding (Misty forgot to buy instant so we had to cook it first) and in order to melt butter we had to put it in a bowl and put the bowl in hot water. We thought we did awesome!

Kaden Loved not having to be in a car seat and uncle Matt spoiled him and let him drive. This was Misty's prayer rock she found. She was so proud of it.

Matt and I even found "our tree." We carved our names in this tree in 2005 before we were married!

After Misty and Buck left, Matt and I got to spend all day Sunday together. It was really nice just fishing and spending time together. I LOVE this picture of Matt.

Lake Powell!

I decided to get caught up on some blogging I need to do... There is quite a bit. So the first is Lake Powell, we had an awesome time there this summer. It was a lot of fun!

You can't see it very well but I carved my name into some rocks by the lake (shh! don't tell, I'm not sure it's legal). My name now lives on forever at Lake Powell.

These are the sandals Misty and I made with Ash and Kailey. I think they're cute. Plus, I love my zebra toe nails! I love this picture of Colton. He could take one jump and land on top of the cement cones. Pretty talented boy!

This picture of Buck cracks me up. This is his 'Walking On Water' trick. And no, this picture wasn't edited at all. On a side note, he is rocking a way awesome farmers tan!.. er, farmers sunburn I mean.

I think Lake Powell is beautiful. This was on the lake around Padre Bay.
I love Kaden!!! Look how cute he is in his junior ranger hat!

I think Ash is so pretty. This is at the (near) bottom of the dam.

This is my dad wake boarding. You can't really tell it's him, but I think it's a cool picture anyway.

Me and miss Kai Mai in our cute matching hats.

Time To Relay

It's time for the Relay For Life again! I've joined my aunt Kerri's team again, "Team Hope" And I'm super excited to be able to be a part of this. Last year I was out of town during the actual event, but this year I'll be out on that track for as long as I can be. Any of you who want to come support should come to the Uintah High School and join us! It really is a pretty fun thing. Also, I'm asking for donations again. You can click the badge (once you click on it a new page comes up, click on the "Donate" tab, and then choose "Donate to Participant" and then type in my name, "Stephanie Miles") here on my blog or you can on my go to my Facebook page to do it, or contact me in person. We're raffling off a lot of cool prizes and tickets only cost $1. You can buy tickets from me if you want. We also have a Scratch & Give card, if you just want to make a donation you can scratch off a circle and donate that amount, or you can just donate right to the cause. Also, this year you can buy a Luminaria. Those are the bags that are lit up with candles, you can decorate them in honor of someone special to you that has been affected by cancer, whether they've lost the battle, or have survived it. Luminarie's cost $10 and you can either decorate them yourselves or you can buy them and we'll decorate it for you!

Thanks to anyone who donates! LETS RELAY!

Happy Fall!

Surprise (actually I should start this with "Dear Diary" because I'm pretty sure at this point it's only me reading it. Which may be a good thing since I discovered quite a few "typos" -yeah that's what we'll call them.- in other posts.) That's okay though, it kind of makes me happy posting things on here, really not sure why. Back to my surprise, I'm posting again!!! Hooray! Okay, now that that's out of my system, I want to wish everyone a happy fall! I seriously love this time of year. The trees, the colors, everything. I wish it could last a lot longer than it does. But, since it's hunting season and all I have Pictures! Enjoy!

Wild Colorado

Okay, I seriously am no good about updating regularly! So we just took a girls trip to Colorado and it was a blast. I will hopefully be posting a few pictures of some of the fun stuff we got to do. We stayed the first night in Estes Park, toured the Stanley Hotel, checked out St. Malo and a burnt down library, and rode the tram up the mountain. It was a lot of fun, we got to feed the chipmunks right out of our hands. It was pretty cool they way the would just walk right into our hands.

After the first day we left Estes and hit Denver, where I got to meet my brand new cousins! They were so cute, little Kenneth Blair and Weston Thomas.
Identical twins and both were born premature. They were the tiniest babies I've ever seen, one was smaller than a cabbage patch doll! The diaper my cousin kept from when they were first born was seriously no bigger than a pad. It was insane. I almost didn't dare hold them they looked so breakable.

While we were in Denver we also got to hit the zoo which was a lot of fun! Anyway, like I said, hopefully I'll get to start adding some pictures of the trip over the next few days.
This is Genny, the proud new mommy holding the smaller baby (4.1 pounds at the time) Kenneth!
And this is Weston, only a pound bigger (at 5.3 pounds at the time) than his brother, and holding onto my moms thumb!
